Fostering proactive attitudes in the university community toward hiring/promotion of female researchers

TUMUG has created a brochure to increase awareness of the Morinomiyako Project and the need to increase employment of women in faculty positions. It also hosted a project kick-off symposium and organizes annual gender equality symposia targeted at Tohoku University academic staff, especially department leaders, to encourage more pro-active attitudes toward the hiring and promotion of women in faculty positions.
