Seeking to nurture female leaders across a wide range of disciplines who have the potential to fill top global leadership positions, TUMUG provides female researchers with financial assistance to offset the costs of attending academic conferences and other events (costs such as travel expenses, registration fees, and scientific paper proofreading) and thereby help them to further build their research skills. Efforts for developing female leaders also include the hosting of seminars and exchanges for female researchers, with the cooperation of woman professors serving as Sawayanagi Fellows.
